Sound Therapy Research

At The British Academy of Sound Therapy (BAST) research is important to us – we have enquiring minds! We love to deepen our knowledge as it helps us understand more about how and why sound and music is such a powerful tool for improving health and wellbeing. We use our research findings to enrich our training courses, enable our students past and present to benefit from this rapidly growing field and generally raise awareness of the benefits of sound therapy. As well as doing our own research projects, the BAST team are actively searching for interesting research, books and articles in related fields including music therapy, music psychology, medical ethnomusicology and vibroacoustic therapy to name a few.

Feel free to scroll through and click on the subjects of your interest for further information, articles, links and research.

Enjoy!
